Đurić Confers with Nepal’s Foreign Minister

The Foreign Ministers of Serbia and Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between their respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs, establishing a mechanism for bilateral consultations.

Noting that relations between the two countries are traditionally good and founded on mutual understanding and trust, Đurić underscored the importance of continuing to strengthen political dialogue and translating cooperation into concrete initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of the Non-Aligned Movement and of preserving its legacy in the contemporary era. Minister Đurić expressed particular gratitude for the participation of the Nepalese delegation in the recent Commemorative Meeting in Belgrade marking the 65th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Nepal for its principled support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.

Đurić noted Serbia’s interest in further advancing economic relations with Nepal, primarily by increasing bilateral trade and encouraging investment.

Minister Đurić expressed his satisfaction with Nepal’s participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, emphasising that the event would provide an opportunity for high-level Nepalese delegations to visit Serbia. He also took the opportunity to invite his counterpart to visit Serbia.
